Amy Sanchez maintains a diverse career in Los Angeles as a freelance musician and
Lecturer of Horn at UCLA, a position she acquired in 2014.
An active studio musician, Amy can be heard on prominent films such as Frozen 2, Incredibles 2, Coco,
Star Wars Rogue One, Moana, Star Trek Beyond, and Jurassic World, and has recorded on a diverse range of albums with Dave Matthews Band, Kendrick Lamar, Kamasi Washington, Florence and the Machine,
Idina Menzel, Michael Buble, X Ambassadors, and Half Alive. Most recently, Amy can be heard and seen on the Carrie Underwood Holiday Special ‘My Gift' on HBO Max, and her brass trio, 3brass just released their second album, 'Christmas at Home'.
Amy has extensive remote recording experience, and her home studio gear includes high quality ribbon
(AEA N8) and large diaphragm condenser mics (Neumann TLM103), an Apogee Duet, and Pro Tools.
In addition to frequent work with the Pacific Symphony and performances with the San Francisco Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, LA Chamber Orchestra, LA Opera, and San Diego Symphony, Amy has performed with most of the major regional orchestras throughout California and is Principal Horn with the International Chamber Orchestra of Puerto Rico. This past year, she toured with the Los Angeles Philharmonic in Mexico City, London, Boston, and NY, and performed a series of concerts with the internationally renowned chamber ensemble Camerata Pacifica. She is currently working to help launch an interactive music practice app where she will be the featured horn teacher, and has given Masterclasses throughout the United States and abroad.
An avid traveler and photographer, Amy also partners with the South African non-profit Nkombe Rhino,
promoting wildlife and wild-land conservation through tourism and raising awareness and funding
through music with her brass ensemble ‘Horns for Rhinos’.
